"Cross-country skiing combines two of my favourite things; pushing my body as hard as possible and spending time outside in amazing places."
Nicole is a cross-country skier with the British ski team. She learned how to ski around the age of 10, never expecting it to become her lifelong dream. But now after spending four years skiing for the University of Alaska Fairbanks, she is living in Lillehammer, Norway and racing with the British National team. In college, she was fortunate enough to go to NCAA's three times and become a two-time all American with a 4th and 8th place, as well as place 2nd at the U.S Nationals in the classic sprint in 2014. Nicole also attended the Junior Worlds and U23 championships with a career-best, 14th sprint qualifier and 18th overall at the 2017 U23 world championships. One of her biggest passions in Nordic skiing is introducing people to the sport. She was fortunate enough to coach a trail children's program this past summer as well as adult technique clinics. Seeing the joy that the kids and adults had for being outside and on skis made her more passionate about racing and spreading the joy of this small sport. This season, Nichole aims to qualify for the world championships and race world cups.
