I am Megan Barrett. I am 23 from Ireland. I am a fully qualified personal trainer and nutritional adviser and have a BSc degree in sport and exercise science. When I started working as a personal trainer I fell in love with helping people to achieve their goals and become happier in themselves through exercise and making healthier lifestyle changes. I also provided them with the tools they needed to bring these healthier choices into their homes and workplaces. My focus is always client centred. I have been with clients who have had many many lows as well as highs and by creating a client centred approach to my programmes this has facilitated them with the necessary education to avoid rebounding but has allowed them to feel okay if regression needs to occur. Compassion, understanding and communication are some of my key personal characteristics that have allowed me to build a fantastic relationship with my clients over the years. This has also given them a trusting place to go to when life happens and deflects them from their goals. This has further pushed me to do Physiotherapy as my masters degree to further gain skills and knowledge for improving people's overall quality of life from the inside out. This is my goal in life to help as many people as I can feel amazing again.
I have an honours BSc in Sport and exercise science. I am a fully qualified personal trainer a nutritional adviser an assistant swim teacher and a lifeguard. I have just updated my first aid and manual handling with college in QMU. I have complete the cara disability course. I was due to sit my strength and conditioning exam before I left Ireland but have deferred it with covid.
I have a Black belt in Karate and was training for my second dan until the pandemic hit. I've captained my local football club to many county titles. I played football until I moved overseas. I've won many medals in Irish dancing. I have taken part in many sea to summits, tough mudders and spartan races. I trained many different clubs at different ages such as a competitive swim club for adults , karate, rowing and football.

The clients will be coached in person when possible as I prefer to monitor the clients in this way as it gives me a better insight for assessments, progression and regression. However due to the circumstances of the pandemic they will be coached online using bodyweight or home equipment. The programmes will be tailored to what the client can do during the pandemic, their goals and based on their health assessment. Finally it will also be tailored to the facilities they can use such as the home, garage, work etc. Nutrition assessment and advice will also be strongly recommended for clients to reap the full benefits of a healthier and happier lifestyle.
