I am a Professional dancer now Pilates instructor who has always loved teaching. Being a dancer all my life, I decided to train at The Hammond in Chester received a honours BA in Professional dance. Starting my career straight away into the showgirl world, gracing the Benidorm Palace stage. Moving on from there, I ventured into cruise ships with Costa Cruise lines later joining Carnival Cruise lines as a dancer singer and dance captain. I have had the pleasure of travelling all over, dancing in cabaret diner shows and casinos, seeing beautiful places and gaining lots of life experience. Along the way, I always taught dance to children in dance studios as well as hen parties and tap classes to adults.
2020 the global pandemic hit, which hit the arts badly, but then motivated me to finally train in Pilates, something I had always wanted to do. As a dancer, I have experienced injuries myself and seen what we can put our bodies through. Pilates is THE best form of exercises as rehabilitation after injuries, focused core strength, spinal care and all round mobility. I focus heavily on those classic Pilates fundamentals as they really do optimise your all round well being and mind and body.
Pilates will tone deep into those underlying muscles, lengthen your spine, help with general posture and my hands on approach to stretches, incorporating my dance background will improve flexibility immensely. I feel my honest and friendly approach is what makes me special, I bring myself to my teaching making it enjoyable and a safe space. I know how to modify and progress my clients and classes. Seeing their ability to go further with me is what I love the most.
I am also pre and post natal trained so you are in safe hands with me if you are expecting or have just given birth looking to get back into it!
