Hello! My names jamie. I am going to study business and environmental science at Exeter penryn in September. I’m really interested in sustainability and helping to connect people with nature. I love to stay fit and love to surf, I do a lot of running and am fascinated with finding out what I am physically and mentally capable of. I’ve recently been travelling to Costa Rica in focus of improving my Spanish and my surf :) I began instructing there and fell in love with the joy it brings people and now want to continue in the uk. No better place that Cornwall.
Costa Rica is extremely loose in terms of qualifications for instructing, I am currently in the process of completing my surf rescue course but am interested in doing ISA and more life guarding courses, I am somewhat limited living in swindon as there is no beach.
I haven’t competed much nationally, but when I was younger played in a football tour in Barcelona. I have also ran half marathons fairly frequently and prefer to set my own goals to push myself to my limits. I am looking to start training more for marathon
I can speak English and Spanish somewhat fluently although in need of practice.

None I’m afraid
My aim is to interest people I’m not only surfing but the physical requirements that come with it, surfing offers a level of respect for not only the water but also other surfers. I would be interested in helping people improve physically fitness, flexibility, mentality and etiquette. I believe these skills are transferable and can be implemented into daily life tasks. My aim is to make people understand what they are truly capable of.
